DIY glitter letter garlands

4 Thrifty-Thursday-logoI was looking around for a letter garland to use as signage for a wedding fair that I am styling and came across one created by Chelsea Costa of Lovely Indeed.

It is simple to do, if not a little messy, I used an old box lid lined with a loose sheet of newspaper as my sprinkle base to collect wayward glitter {oh boy does glitter get wayward!}. Lining it means you can gather it up in a fold and pour it back into your container so not a sprinkle is wasted :)

The original tutorial is for a Christmas garland “All is calm all is bright” so I went off to find an alphabet letter download so I could make any phrase I wanted. You can find the links for both the original tutorial and a full alphabet letter download at the end.

This is one of Chelsea’s most recent garlands and if you are not a DIY’er then she is open to commissions. If you are a DIY’er then go browse her site Lovely Indeed it is packed full of wonderful ideas and creativity.
