Walking on Sunshine

“I used to think maybe you loved me, now I know that its true
and I don’t want to spend all my life , just in waiting for you
now I don’t want u back for the weekend
not back for a day , no no no
I said baby I just want you back and I want you to stay
I’m walking on sunshine , wooah
I’m walking on sunshine, woooah
I’m walking on sunshine, woooah
and don’t it feel good!!”

Katrina and the Waves

OK I know that was a long intro for a blog post but I wanted to get you in the right mood. You’re singing it now in your head (or maybe out loud) aren’t you? Don’t go youtubing I’ve put the video in at the end so you can be-bop-da-lu-la round the kitchen, the living room or your work place (heaven help us if your on the bus) when you’ve feasted your eyes, alternatively you could skip to the end and sing along while you’re reading :)

And what a feast, I love, love, love today’s colour picks from Pantone’s 2013 colour trends – Lemon Zest and Grayed Aqua. If you don’t feel like walking on sunshine when you’ve had a good old look see I’ll eat my hat!

We want more! It’s the little details that can pull a colour scheme together and they are one of the ways to add it inexpensively. Want to add that punch of colour? Take inspiration from some of these ideas.

Finally, I couldn’t do a sunshine day without including a bit of my own creation, this is my Buttercups and Daisies bouquet and it always makes me smile.

Now don’t you feel perkier? It’s that kind of colour the zing of the yellow shouts “Hello Spring, Summer is just around the corner” and the subtle greeny blue of the grayed jade adds just the right amount of cool to bring a sophisticated grown up edge to it. Plus the dress, oh that dress from the delicious Phillipa Lepley *sigh* it really is what dreams are made of and there’s lots more gorgeous gowns to ogle on her website, follow the link above.

Go on, now you can do that little dance :)
